ITV

I have never had the locks checked from the inside of a car that has been through its ITV or the electric windows.
It can be awkward though if the driver's window won't go down when you want to be able to talk to the tester.
I suspect that your garage called the ITV station and asked them to do it.
I have checked 2 websites that describe the ITV test and what is tested and neither state that checking the door locks or the electric windows is part of the test.
It is not important now as your car has passed.

Why would my garage phone the ITV station ???????? They were done the work to replace the handle.!!!!! Every door on my car was checked and I have not trawled websites to see if it is part of the test or not. I am merely passing on the experience I had.

Has anybody tried to book there ITV appointment online ? I have looked at the web site , but can't seem to get past the enrolment number ( reg number ? ) http://www.iteuve.net/estaciones/torrevieja-alicante . Any ideas much appreciated .TIA

I have just taken my car for its ITV. After checking all the lights, horn and wipers, the tester then opened each door and checked the seat belts. He did not check the door openings from the inside or the windows. They spend a lot more time now on checking the emission and presumably the onboard computer. He must have been running the engine for about 10 minutes.

on modern cars the onboard computer will tell them most faults,
