It’s simple use or lose it and what’s more. It cost money to run a large place and keep it ticking over not easy. Can’t survive on a few glasses of beer and a mug of tea. Yes we use it but the beer was putred and terrible. Food was piss poor. Need we say anymore. Needs some serious investment also entertaining is expensive hobby. So. What we need is a smaller bar now. Basically where people can get a good cheap beer and a good old chat. :text-thankyouyellow:

You don´t have to be a pensioner to be a froth hugger.

Since moving over I've never seen so many people that can site with a small beer or a bottle of water for so long it evaporates quicker than they drink it probably why there are so many bars for sale :text-givemebeer: :text-lol:

It seems that whenever a venue organises something, a bingo session, a jam, an act, quiz etc. it also attracts those who sit for hours soaking up entertainment but not soaking up drink. The custom the bar wants to attract can’t find a seat and wander off. One bingo venue challenged a table of four old’ns, who’d not bought a drink, only to be see later sharing a bottle of water!

The La Vida Sunset bar offers a happy hour. You can see them gather and take their seats just as the minute hand approaches 12 and, as soon as the hand lands on twelve, their off, to the bar. And when the cheap session is over, they’re disappearing as quickly as they arrived. They’re as predictable as the wildebeest in the Masai Mara, arriving with the rains and vanishing with the drought.
