Just what is going on with the bins not being emptied AGAIN! Not the 1st time this year. The top of Avda Costa Azul, a round c/ Costa maresme. They are over flowing on footpath because rubbish is piled high in bins. THERE ARE RATS RUNNING AROUND and it stinks beside being an eyesore.b

This was the pathetic reply from Councillor Derek Monks on Sept 15th "The Company has now been advised to empty in your area and the Councillor is working on the problem which is not just in your area." The bins have been emptied 3 times since. Noticed on my Water/rubbish bill that an extra €5.73 was added due to Covid! Nice little earner for a service we're not getting!

Try emailing the Ayuntamiento through the Linea Verde Rojales App. I have written to them on two different things & they sorted it

Why should you have to keep chasing the council to perform a fundamental task?
The council is useless, just look around you, the incompetence is plain to see.
They will change. Three months before the next election!!!!
Permanent change will only come from booting them out.

I do sympathise but this is Spain, not UK, doubt very much if the local government changes there would be any difference.

It’s got nothing to do with the U.K.
What Spanish local government changes are you referring to?
This is a council that is failing through no other reason than its own incompetence.

I have lived here coming up 17 years and the bins were always emptied every evening about 10pm. Then this past couple of years things changed. Don't know why, it's not as though Rojales is poor and can't afford it. Around Rojales town they are emptied just us on the outskirts of Quesada
