I think that they are keeping the ones they have for those aged between 60 and 69 who have had the first one so they can guarantee having two jabs with the same vaccine.
It's those under 60 who have had it as their first dose who will be in limbo until they decide if they can have it or not. The Valencia Community states it still has almost 118,000 AZ vaccines which will be enough to give the 60 to 69 year olds their second dose but not enough to give both to the 65 to 69 year olds who are still waiting on their first jab hence the switch to Pfizer.

Thank you Marcliff for that. My friend had her 2nd Moderna Fri and was poorly Sat afternoon and Sunday with the shivers, had a blanket and hot water bottle just couldn't get warm and a stinking headache. Felt better today but a very sore lumpy arm.

50 to 59 years will be getting the call for next week. The Janssen vaccine has been given the go ahead for that age group so one jab and you'll be done.

The Janssen will also be used for those who are difficult to get hold of such as the homeless, undocumented migrants and seasonal workers.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what the agreed gap between Astra Zenica doses is in Spain, for the 60-69 age groups.
I know it started at 4 weeks, then changed to 6 weeks, but now hear its between 6 and 12 weeks. Yesterday I saw an article saying 16 weeks, but doubt that would be correct.

If you are under 60 then the gap between AZ vaccines is now 16 weeks.
Those between 60 and 69 who have had the first AZ vaccine will be called within 12 weeks for the second one.

From the official site which I have referenced before Vaccine Plan

In people under the age of 60 who received their first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine, the second dose has been postponed until 16 weeks after the first dose.

According to the link Marcliff kindly posted the 60-65 year olds have been completed, they are currently doing the 69-65 year olds and high risk so perhaps you need to check with your local Salud that your details are contact number are correct
