Thanks for this information Anniep, I've passed it on to my neighbour. She's 64 and checked at Lo Marabu Salud that they had the right details at the end of April when they told her to wait for the call. I've suggested she gets in touch with them again.

In our case, the appointment for the first vaccine was by landline. If we hadn't been at home then we would have missed it. The one for the second vaccine was by SMS and exactly 3 weeks after the first.
And, yes, the link I posted states the 60 to 65 age group is now complete and gives the link to check your contact details and says if you haven't been called you are to contact your health centre to make an appointment. Those 66 to 69 are still in progress and will be contacted this week with an appointment and the 50 to 59 age group for next week starting May 17th but our neighbour, aged 59, has already received an appointment for next Tuesday.

A few posts back I put that they have stopped using the AZ vaccine as a first dose because of the lack of supplies. Those in the range 60 to 69 will now receive the Pfizer vaccine as the first and second doses but those who have had the first AZ vaccine will still receive that as their second dose. Those under 60 who have had AZ as their first vaccine will have to wait 12 to 16 weeks for their second dose unless they decide to "mix and match" vaccines after the study being carried out in several countries including the Carlos III centre in Madrid.
For those in the 50 to 59 age group they will receive the one dose Janssen vaccine whilst supplies last and will not receive the AZ vaccine. The 106,000 doses promised by AZ for this week did not turn up which is even worse than the 10% rate of promised vaccines in previous weeks.

Maybe AZ is sensitive about being (unfairly? wrongfully?) sued _ time and the Courts will tell
Let's see what is identified or redacted from the Court reporting of the agreements that were entered into - and the covering conversations e.g. "promised".
How much of this will eventually be labelled as "misunderstanding"? - especially if civil servants or politicians seem to be receiving the wrong end of any stick or if close examination of the product pricing is highlighted.

Let's put it this way. You contract a company to provide 8 radiators to fit central heating and provide them with a lot of money up front so they can start manufacturing them.
First month they turn up with one and say we have the others on order.
Next month they provide another 2 and say they have production problems.
Following month they provide another one but promise the others will arrive "soon".
Next month they fail to deliver any.
Would you still use them to carry out the work?
Also, Spain has put the mass vaccination centres on standby 5 times. That's getting all the places ready, filling them with people who can give the vaccines, make the appointments and people being told to get ready. They have had to cancel that programme 3 times. On the fourth occasion, they managed to open and had to stop after 3 days when the vaccines ran out. This fifth occasion they are opening them but using a different vaccine from a company that is able to supply them. Justification for saying enough is enough?
And do the math, as the Americans say. 350,000 in this region in one age group where the AZ vaccine can be administered. 100,000 have already had the first jab which means 100,000 awaiting the second and 250,000 awaiting the first. That means they require half a million doses more to carry out the full programme. Either 12,000 doses are received or, in this week, none at all. Absolutely impossible to carry out the plan of vaccinating their intended target so using another manufacturer, which has met its promises, seems the only way to go.
Meanwhile, either in the radiators or vaccine supplies, another customer is miraculously receiving all the ones contracted for which is like snubbing your nose at a customer they don't think is as important.
Changing the vaccine schedule must have been very difficult but given a choice of reaching your target in the intended timeframe or missing it by months and leaving vast amounts of people still at risk, which one would you choose?
