Lebara Text message

Lebara Text message

Postby 2Sheds » Wed Oct 20, 2021 11:41 am

Has anyone else received a text message from Lebara saying 'Don't forget to change your Sim by 15/11/21.....'

Is this some sort of marketing message or something actually necessary.

Thanks for any info.

I recieved the same messge, i have had my sim for about 4 years now, as far as i understand from the lebara website is that the sim will still work but may suffer communication issues.
Quote from website
"Is it mandatory to make the change?
Your old SIM will continue to work, but you may have connection problems and as you do not have automatic updates, you will not be able to enjoy future improvements that we make to the service. If you want to avoid future problems, we recommend that you change the SIM now."https://ilebara.es/cambiar-sim/

Thanks for that.
How straightforward is it to get a new sim? I would want to keep my number.

I got the same message yesterday. Went to the phone shop next to Gama. They changed my SIM and I kept the same number. In and out in 5 minutes. Only problem is that I had to pay 7 euros 50 cents. The explanation being, the SIM card is free if ordered on line but via the shop you have to pay. This was different to the LEBARA message, but as he did everything for me, I felt it was a small price to pay to continue with good service. Hope this helps.

We went to Quesada computers as they deal with Lebara, we were given a new sim card and told to ring 2222, when I rung all I got was a recorded message and after trying different options we were told your cannot register a new sim on the phone or on there website it has to be done by a Lebara agent, I think as Quesada computers where busy at the time and just wanted us out of the shop.
Looks like I will have to try elsewhere

Thanks. I'll take your advice. I'm not familiar with the Dona Pepa area. Do you happen to know the name of the phone shop?

Took mine into a shp today. Options free on line or 7.50 euros in the shop. Took that option. Process took less than 5 minutes. No problems at all

My friend had a message, went to Quesada computers, he said the SIMs are G2 and labrara are now going G4, hence the change. He gave her the SIM , told her what to do and went and sat down again.
Will tell her what your comments are, a big help, thanks
