Lemon Tree Market Parking

Lemon Tree Market Parking

Postby cjrk » Wed Jan 05, 2022 11:42 am

Good morning, a question regarding parking at the market, the last time we went we parked on the left side as you drive down the lane and it took us about one hour getting out. Is there parking on the right side of the lane and also is there only one way in and out?
Thanks

Opposite where you parked on the left there is a single track roadway between 2 sections of the market usually with a man in hi viz to prevent you running over pedestrians.Drive to the end of this and you will see a more extensive parking area.To exit,if you look beyond this area you will see El Raso's houses and a track leads towards them and brings you out around 200 yards from the roundabout.

Thanks for this, I take it that the track is OK to drive on as we've got a hire car?

Alternatively park in El Raso near the Quads bottom left and walk the 2-300 metres . . no car access/exit issues then . . .

Bear in mind that lots of people use that narrow lane to access and exit the market on foot. Please be considerate to the pedestrians.

The advice to go earlier also applies if you go later. We often arrive at 11.30am and get parked easily as so many are heading back. By the time we’ve walked casually about and enjoyed a coffee, there are no traffic jams. If travelling to Torrevieja, it can be slower exiting from the back road into La Mata but nothing more than a couple of minutes.
