Yep, I do remember the girls in there as being particularly helpful.
I learnt a lesson 43 yrs ago - my brother was working for an insurance broker - he went on to own the business - open branches across the U.K. and became very wealthy!
Naturally he did all the families insurances in those early days - car, house etc. I had just got married - had my first house and we had a house warming party. Everyone smoked in those days and someone put a cigarette on the arm of our new sofa and forgot it was there and it burnt a hole in the light coloured fabric. I rang his office on the Monday - he was busy - so I said “just send me the claim form in the post - it’s straight forward as we are covered for third party, fire & theft”. I didn’t want to bother him so I completed the form - the claim was rejected!!!
Apparently when I answered the question “was there ignition (a flame)?) - I answered “no” as it never set on fire - it just smouldered. The insurance company rejected the claim as there had been no “fire”. My brother couldn’t undo it - as he said “you’ve already told them and signed it”. I let him complete all my future claims - not that there were many - but as he said - there is a knack to making a claim.

Linea directa has got to be the worst insurance company out there,I would never use them again plus there phone numbers starting with 902 is a premier number,I got a phone for over €24 having to constantly phone them up after a house break in they finally completed the works after 5 months.

If the policy was issued by Liberty Seguros, it was most likely to have been from the Liberty Seguros brokerage a few doors along from IBEX.
I agree that IBEX are an excellent brokerage, the staff are very helpful. They dealt with a claim for me where I had water damage during the Gota Fria. My policy is with Reale. Sorted very quickly and repairs done by the company’s builders. Hassle free!!
When you deal with a good broker, they have a stick to beat the insurance company with insofar as they can move all their business away from an insurer. Deal with Linea Directa and you’re on your own, you’re just a single client to them, a few hundred €uro. Looking for cheap is not the best policy where insurance is concerned.

We cancelled our insurance with Linea Directa as we only had two queries. One a water leak and a crack in our perimeter wall. Both were turned down. Now with Caixa nd everything is covered and the amount is on monthly standing order and is the same amount for three years. Best wishes.

We have all our insurances with Liberty Seguros, via Jennifer Cunningham agents in Benijofar. I wouldn't recommend Jennifer Cunningham, but I highly recommend Liberty Seguros - we've had to claim on each of our insurances over the last 5 years and we've never had a problem with LS. I'm actually looking to switch our agent to Rightmove, as I've seen so many excellent recommendations on here for Donna in their office, but I'll still stick with Liberty Seguros as my insurer.
