We use calor gas bottles and to help with condensation put a saucer of water on the top of the heater and yes it does work!

I recall people on the old Torrevieja.co.uk forum recommending Danny- (Daniel) Snell for doing the upgrade and Boletin.

We have done this and so have friends of ours who have a Lola terrace house. Why heat outside when you can heat upstairs, toasty warm all over fitting them this way

You have no problem with going thru the roof with the waterproof membrane , no ingress when heavy rain , as they say its hard to seal round the flue pipe due to expansion and contraction due to heat difference from the stove and of course the heat in the summer months,
Just curious, as that's what has always deteterred me from fitting one.

We had a quote from Sparks a few years ago, not only were they very expensive compared to a Spanish company (4 times the cost) but said they couldn't guarantee we would get the upgrade, went to a Spanish company who did the survey as well as the paperwork and was upgraded within a week.

Can you remember the name and contact details of the company you used.

I'd be really interested in knowing who you got to do this for you. As Lola's are basically the same layout, where in the room did you have it fitted.

No problem at all with any water ingress, we had a chimney stack built round the sealed flue that comes out of the roof and painted in the appropriate colour of the property, so it's not unsightly and blends in with the other properties.
Has been in about 7 years now without any issue.

The company we used about 7 years ago do not trade anymore as the owner retired, but as Chrisdee said I would think Ambifuego could do it.
We live in a semi-detached so have an outside wall but chose to get a corner Log burner that swivels and its on an inside wall, straight up to master bedroom, it's like having central heating upstairs, surprising how much heat the flue throws out, we didn't have the silver flue as we thought it would be unsightly inside and they discolour quite quickly.
Our friends in the Lola have a corner log burner as well, theirs goes up to master bedroom, they had to lose part of the wardrobe, (sectioned off), due to where they decided to put the burner downstairs, but again it heats the upstairs.
Another lady, end of terrace, has a swivel burner in the middle of her wall, and rearranged the room to suit, as fire swivels its not a problem to heat where you are sitting, again their flue comes out in the master bedroom. We all have chimney stacks built round flue coming out of the house. Only one had a problem with birds falling down chimney which was resolved by netting being fitted on the stack.
