Looking for recommendation for good private doctor

OK so can anyone recommend from their own experience a good local ( quesada area) private doctor? Now I have seen some recommendations for the Dr Balester ( sp? ) at the arches so am thinking of going there but would appreciate feedback or alternative suggestions. Grateful for any recommendations...

I can thoroughly recommend Dr Ballester, I have seen him when needed for well over twenty years. He´s a good listener and when he has referred my wife or myself on for specialist treatment, his recommendations have always been good. He can speak and understand English but always has an interpreter present in consultation. Most importantly he is a man who cares.

My wife (a stroke victim who needs regular blood tests) and I have used Dr Baññester for years and can't recommend him highly enough. Also, my brother-in-law arrived on holiday some time ago feeling unwell. Dr B diagnosed cancer and recommended he got home ASAP and saw his own doctor. He did, got tested, and sadly the diagnosis was proved correct. The man is good.

Thanks to all for comments, a number of people outside the forum have also been very positive about Dr Ballester so that's very reassuring and that's where I'll head. Re Medcare in Benijofar I have had some experience there already and suffice to say I wouldn't personally go near them ever again nor have any of my family go near them.

How much does Dr Ballester charge for a consultation please? Where would he refer you to if you needed minor surgery or to see a consultant? I have also tried Medcare but not very impressed.

Dr Ballester is excellent, we use him regularly, always helpful, very personable and caring. If you need specialist consultation he will usually refer you to Quiron hospital (the private hospital for Torrevieja area) I think Dr Ballester charges 40-50 euros per consultation. I’m insured so don’t pay, but when I took a visiting friend to see him I think that’s what they were charged.
