Low Emission Zone, Zona Bajas Emisiones - Torrevieja

Does anyone know where I can find details of any LEZ/ZBE proposals for Torrevieja?

I know it is a mandate and they are working on it but I can't find any solid detail, except the national laws and some incomplete stuff on N332 and here..

www.zonabajasemisiones.es/torrevieja

Will Cat B's be allowed in, once they designate the zone?

Ive got my sticker for the car but haven't a clue of if, why what and when. It'll all be splattered across the freebies if and when. Maybe the town hall would know.

Thanks Andrea - any more details?

- Is there a map of the zone? Boundaries? Signage?
- What category vehicles are allowed in?
- Is there ANPR? How will it be policed?

Could you post a link to the FB sites please, I couldn't find anything...

No, Chris, ATM my motors still legally on a foreign plate in Spain

I drove the old warhorse 7-seater down in the summer and was preparing to import it before the 6 months was up, but if it won't be allowed in the ZBE I'm better off driving it back up and buying local - I only became aware of the new regs recently

Would be a shame as I know its history and, even after all the import costs, I'm marginally better off than buying a local unknown motor

It's a 2002 petrol so would be ZBE Cat B I think, I'm allergic to not living by the book so need to decide what to do

Oh you poor thing, that's horrible, you get to know your own car, I know what you mean. 2nd hand cars are so expensive here and from what I hear the UK now too. Good luck with what you decide

It's the most simple thing to do that I've come across here.
You just take the green log book thing Into any post office and it cost 5. Somebody else said they were asked for ID don't think I was.
