It's clear that by the spelling and grammar in most of the posts of those who criticised Marcliffs kind and helpful words over past few years are a bunch of ignorant losers with chips not on one shoulder but both
I hope he soon realises that he has many more friends than foes and that his responses to questions raised are valued by the vast majority

He used to have a page where he posted information, but you could not comment, does Marcliff not even have that now ?

Whereas I agree that, the loss of marcliff’s contributions has lessened this forum, let’s just respect his decision and cease this witch hunt to find a scapegoat.

There will always be these idiots I'm afraid. If Alex bans them they will just re-register with a different email and username. All you can do is ignore them, they love it if they get a reaction.

I completely understand Marcliff's frustration, he obviously feels he needs a break. But I hope he comes back in time, he is probably the most valuable member on the forum.

I think part of the problem was that he'd say he was leaving, and he would then come back...until someone upset him, and then he'd say he was leaving, and he would then come back.

I think some took the yo-yoing as a sign of weakness, and then preyed on it upon his return.

Maybe, now, he's going to stick by leaving, and good on him - it may well be less stressful for him.

I actually know people who would take Marcliff's word over that of their gestor, which I think is pretty scary.

A lot of the information he provided was taken from readily-available information sources, and I reckon he may have just got fed up of forum members being simply too lazy to look for themselves.
