Dose anyone know if you can transfer your UK number onto these sim cards ?

No , you cannot transfer numbers from another country.

One possible thing to remember about PAYG in Spain. When I used PAYG which was a year or two ago, in addition to making a call every six months, it was also necessary to top up the card every six months with cash. Failure to do that resulted in the card being deactivated by the provider. It was certainly the case with Vodafone, Movistar and the cheaper Eroski Mobile.
It may have changed now but it's worthwhile checking with the provider if the top up requirement still exists.

Yes that's why I chose Orange as you only need to top up once a year.
