Mosquito bites. Advice

Re: Moscito bites. Advice

Last September I got bitten very badly and ended up with Septis on returning to the UK and spent 5 days in hospital!!! Mossies love me, even in the UK I don't go anywhere without the high strength Jungle Formula and this has been most effective in the USA, Caribbean but not in Spain last year.

I went to the Chemist in Spain and purchased the expensive Mossie Spray (green and white bottle) sorry don't know the name that didn't work either. In the end someone on the Forum suggested a Mossie Spray from Mercadona (it is in an orange bottle with yellow writing) approx 3 Euros!! I have not been bitten again since using this spray, infact I was so impressed I bought 10 bottles!!

After trying everything we found the Mercadona cheap orange spray mentioned above is really good for every day. We also use the more expensive Halley spray (in most pharmacies) for when the mossies are at their worst. Halley was the only thing that worked for us one year when the mossies were swarming really bad.

Put a tea spoon in boiling water, and then dab on bite,it takes sting away and stops infection.

I read somewhere that Avon have changed the formula in the last year or so and removed the ingredient that made it effective as a mosquito deterrent.
