Name of exterior wall treatment/coating/finish

I have seen a treatment/coating/finish applied to exterior walls which seem to make them immune from any type of weather, including dirty rain etc. They never need painting, and bird shit and other annoyances just wipes off of it with ease.

This is a bit of a long shot, but can anyone tell me what this specific coating is called and who does it? It almost looks like a lacquer was applied to the wall to finish it off but i'm really not sure.

Normal paint just does not cut the mustard. It looks ok once finished, but one bout of dirty rain and it need doing again, where as the wall with this coating hasn't needed painting in over a decade.
