Yan, as far as we are aware we had all we needed but as it’s been said it depends what mood they’re in on the day. Their excuse was that my pension wasn’t paid directly into our Spanish bank account. Apparently it doesn’t have to be but they said different. I’ve since changed it so as it’s paid into the Spain account. We had a good lump sum in our bank account, think that’s a must. They need to know you can afford to pay your way here. We had someone from besure agency with us, he told us what we needed and we had everything but no joy. I’ll post on here how I get on in Alicante.

Success at last. Went to Alicante today and were successful this time. Didn’t even bother about pension paid into Spanish bank. Driving license next.

Just got Residencia last monday , at Elche, first attempt, assisted by Frankie of FP Translations 681639694. She put us straight on the money - you need a Bank statement for the last 3 or 4 months from spanish bank showing at least €400 a month each person going in , plus a good wodge of cash - we had €7000. No need for letters from pension companies or UK govt. We walked it, no problems.

Parking near the Police Station is horrendous, but east of it , about 200 yards is the hospital and the Palace of Justice, theres pleanty of places to park there. We had 10:00 appointment thenhad to coem back at 1 oclock to pick up the cards.

And now she has got us a cancelled appointment for monday at INSS to register our S1's a week later, Apppartantly the appointments are running into March now, and afterwards straight after round to the local police to do the driving licence. Shes very very on the ball.

I was unimpressed by One Way, we rang twice, no return call, we went round, there was a girl in the office confessed she'd only been thier 3 days and didnt have a clue. She took our details, no return call. We engaged FP, and two months later One way rang us to say he'd got us an appointment. No prior warning, no call backs, no previous discussion on what we needed. Came across as very slapdash and unorganised. We stayed with Frankie, glad we did.
