NEIGHBOURS PALM SEEDS

Please can anyone give advice, our neighbour has in his rear garden a large palm tree that he doesn't even see, as his house is all frontage, and at this time of year its seed flumes overhang our pool and we spend hours trying to clear the seeds as we have had to change our pool pump in the past from this nuisance. We have approached him but he is obnoxious and some years he cuts it and others he doesn't, we paid last year but he didn't even acknowledge.
Can the town hall help us or the police does anyone know about this problem.

You could just happen notice that there appear to be red palm weevils in the tree. You’d then have to report this to the town hall, who would then require the owner to take action.
He might choose to have the tree removed rather than pay for expensive treatment.

Thank you for your reply Pete, we shall keep a keen eye but sadly we haven't seen any evidence of this at the moment.

You don’t actually have to see them, just say that you saw some bugs and you’re almost certain that they were Palm Weevils.

I think He meant weevils to show or report , not money to pay for upkeep of tree,

If you're going to try and stitch your neighbour up by reporting the palm weevil make sure it's the right sort of palm tree!
