NEW 30 km Signs on Av.del Aeropuerto

Ive always found the spanish to be dreadful drivers, they are very aggressive. They tailgate you, cut you up, don't let merge in you in or give way, and overtake on the inside or in dangerous places.. They park wherever they like irrespective of how dangerous or inconsiderate it is. I always drive round now with full 360 degree 720p dashcam coverage, just to be on the safe side. The Spanish have brought these low speed limits on themselves.

Agree 100%, the driving in Spain is simply atrocious! Can’t excuse the ridiculous speeds and dangerous manoeuvres you see on the roads every day! I also wouldn’t be without my dashcam!

Agree Spanish drivers are poor, but cocking up speed limits is not the way to address it.

I didn’t see a problem around Quesada before and I do find it frustrating that there seems to be a “one rule for all roads “ when most of the roads around here where designed for modern traffic, covid has been hard on the Spanish coffers, maybe an invisible tax.????

Just a stealth tax IMO, and i suspect there's some vain attempt in there to reduce emissions albeit with the opposite effect happening. Many roads that are now 50 are dual carriageways and away from houses so perfectly suited for higher speeds (road in to torrevieja as a perfect example). And some 30 limit zone roads are wider than the English channel so completely ridiculous. Hopefully the Spanish will pressure the government to adopt a more sensible approach. As a foreigner, it's not really my place.
