Take the free one with you from the government and see if your negative, why does everyone have to jump an the bandwagon and charge 40+ Euros for a test?

The new regs have 2 weeks until their introduction on 4th October. It is not as though they are being introduced over night. EU countries don't need their vaccinated citizens to take pre departure tests so it is tried and tested already. I don't go with all this fear. We have to go back to living normally. There is nothing stopping anybody from buying an antigen test and testing themselves before flying and again after their return home. But why would you bother unless you have any symptoms.

Wear a mask, if contacting Covid-19 is a worry

I thought this was from 4th October?
"simpler, cheaper rules for fully vaccinated travellers coming from non-red list countries – fully vaccinated passengers will be able to replace day 2 PCR tests with cheaper lateral flow tests – from the end of October – and no longer need to take pre-departure tests (PDTs)"

Positive news but tests need to go altogether.
Life must go on and all this fear and scaremongering needs to stop.
Yes covid was dangerous but its not the biggest cause of death anymore. Not even in the top 10 now. More die from flu.
For fully vaccinated there should be no tests to travel and the locator forms should go to.
For un vaccinated (unless for those with medical reasons not br be vaccinated), thats were restrictions should remain and even be increased.

Because the NHS one doesn't supply you with a certificate to prove you're negative.

The first and only change from 4th October for fully vaccinated travellers is the scrapping of the pre departure test for entry to England. They hope to introduce the changes to the 2 day and 8 day test before the end of October but no date yet.

In truth, I’d be Far happier if we continued with our Antigen tests for flying . Even if we all had to buy the cheaper tests for them ourselves, most people flying would feel a great deal more comfortable.
Northern Ireland are to introduce changes to their travel regulations from 4th October too and they appear to be scrapping the tests for entry from EU.
