No last minute hitches?

No last minute hitches?

Postby Jonnno » Thu May 06, 2021 5:50 pm

State of emergency due to end Monday but normally get reports of last minute hitches. Not heard any really. Am I being too optimistic?

Particularly interested in Valencian borders being opened.

Valencian borders will probably be opened. Curfew likely to remain but put back to either 2300 or midnight to 0600. Ximo Puig has to go to the Valencian Supreme Court to get any further measures once the state of alarm ends.

Also groups of 8 could be allowed to get together. The full measures will be taken tomorrow and probably released in full on Saturday.

According to an article in Informacion this is the current thinking:

The reduction of the curfew from the current 10:00 p.m. to 0:00 a.m. is also proposed, (so that mobility would be limited from 0 to 6 in the morning) needs the endorsement of the Supreme Court as it affects fundamental rights and does not have the shelter of the state of alarm that the Government eliminates as of Sunday.

The Generalitat has already requested the judgment of the judges in this regard, as well as to limit the capacity in places of worship to 75% and meetings of no more than 10 people in both public and private spaces.

Bars and restaurants would move to 11.00pm closing.

They will meet on Saturday to finalise the arrangements to come into force from Monday next.

It all depends on the approval of the TSJ - The Superior Court-
