Not Quesada but Melbourne

That was just an example and i am not sure how you can say it is naive and unscientific when that stat comes from the Australian government. Locking a country down over 200 deaths of anything is a bit extreme don't you think?

We have family in Melbourne too and they initially had a “soft” lockdown. Nurseries open, hairdressers open etc etc. They have had an increase in cases just in the Melbourne area and as the source of some of these cases can’t be identified they’ve moved Melbourne to Phase 4 and regional Victoria into Phase 3.
Under phase 4 they are allowed out once per day to shop( only one per household) and can exercise for up to 1 hour a day. They have a 5km limit as to how far they can travel from home. I guess the curfew is in place to restrict the times they can exercise, because the supermarkets are now closing before 8pm. There’s no other reason they should be out except for medical/ care emergencies. Still not as restrictive as the lockdown we all went through except our lockdown rules were reviewed fortnightly. This new Melbourne lockdown is in place for 6 weeks and has caused massive panic buying in the shops yet again. Even though we didn’t have a “curfew“ here, remember we basically weren’t allowed out except to shop in nearest supermarket. Each country as we all know has it’s own idea of what they hope will work best and Melbourne now being in their winter season is probably just trying to reduce strain on their health service as other countries did in the cooler months.

If everything was that simple,, and yes it is naive and unscientific to compare mental health issues with Covid19...if that was the case then you would shut everything down.

I think Costa bloke has every right to ask what is going on. These draconian measures were bought on because 7 people died in 24hours. 3 of them over 70, 2 over 80 and 2 over 90 so potentially all had underlying problem and died "WITH" corona virus and not from it.

Costa Bloke is the closest we’ve had to a conspiracy theorist on this post. I have spent a lot of time on YouTube since all this kicked off and am truly amazed at the conspiracies going about at the moment. Did you know that the lockdown and quarantine has been brought in just to subdue people and keep the sheep under control. What are these people on?

We had 2 aircon engineers arrive yesterday, 20 - 25 yrs old. No masks at all. Said covid did not exist and it was a conspiracy.

So let me get this straight. Because i have the opinion that the lock down measures in Australia are ridiculous given the death rate, i am somehow a conspiracy theorist? OK. Not sure how that works but ok.

What is naive and unscientific is shutting the nation down over 200 deaths, of which all were most probably diagnosed by the highly flawed PCR test.
