Not Quesada but Melbourne
Not Quesada but Melbourne

What's the point of putting a curfew on in Melbourne between 8pm and 5am? I don't see how it will necessarily help.

We were there in March and the city centre was very busy at night. I suppose the alcohol and social distancing, doesn't work.

I thought it maybe to do with getting together in pubs and clubs but they may just squeeze the boozing in between 5-8 although I believe they are only allowed out 1 hour a day?

I wouldn't propose any curfew, just close the pubs and clubs?

We have relatives in Melbourne and the situation is too serious for just that.
Reduced human interaction is what's needed and only a strict lockdown and a curfew can ensure that.

What's going on in Australia is a scandal. 200 deaths since the crisis began, yet that is somehow a justification to lock the country down. In perspective, 3000+ people committed suicide in 2018.

Don't see how you can compare both, totally different, very naive and unscientific comment. Yes worldwide more work and effort should be put into mental health issues by government and people, but to compare to Covid?
