Opticians

Hi

Could anybody advise if the opticians at the back of the garage when you have an eye test have the facility to take the photographs of the back of your eye? I have a mole at the back of my eye that requires monitoring and would like another option for an optician than Specsavers.

The opticians next to Consum in Benimar have the equipment to do that I do not think the one you are referring to has

would check with Fran and Eva ar Rodreges first, they are the best opticians I have ever dealt with, and very helpful.

Can your doctor not refer you to the hospital?

Hi ...I concur that Rodriguez in the Quesada garage shop area are very good opticians and I know from experience they can view the back of the eye...as they did exactly that for me.

They can indeed...did it for me just a couple of months ago.

Thanks everybody i will call in and speak to Rodriguez. I have had it reviewed for several years at the hospital and they have said it just needs checking at regular eye tests now but been enamoured with Specsavers recently.

I've bought my last 3 pairs of glasses there and I have also brought visitors from home to them.

Everyone very satisfied and much cheaper than back her in Irl.

I wouldn't go near Specsavers if you paid me. They make amusing advertisements, I'll give them that.

This is a different outfit to Rodriguez, who generally come out on top in this forum.

You maybe better with an optician who can scan the eye rather than just photograph, similar to what’s done at the hospital. A number of years ago I had a problem with something on the back of my eye and was monitored for a number of years but it didn’t change and was signed off. In the U.K. Specsavers do it but charge, I use Costco who don’t just in case there are any changes, so far nothing. The difference is that the scan can show cross sections of the eye to see how deep any legions are.
