Overcharging in supermarkets

I always do a quick scan down receipt at reduced items or special offers. It is amazing how many times special offers are advertised but the computerised check outs have not been changed.

Price per KG should always be shown in supermarkets by law

I seen the thread title and thought the Gama Euro scandal was off again .

Not heard anymore about that.
Hopefully it's stopped.

Correct. And as far as I'm aware, it is!

I always check my bill. Years ago, everytime I bought shopping, it was overcharged. Lidl, Aldi, Mercadona very rarely find it wrong now.

Yes had it at Carrefour in September but queues were too big to be bothered for a euro, always the special deals that arent lol!

I never shop at Carrefour, but the other day in The Food Company in Quesada I bought 2 items which had a reduced ticket displayed in front of the item. When paying at the till I saw that I was being charged the full price, which was 10 euros instead of 6 euros. The cashier checked it and was told that the ticket had been put in the wrong place even though it was described for being the item sold!!! They did sell it to me for the price displayed but said it would be the full price next time. So it definitely is wise to check!!!!

When I lived in Ireland superquinn had a policy that f you were overcharged on an item they would refund you the full bill.

Never was overcharged there.

Asda are good in the UK they refund the whole price and give you a gift card
