Parking on Los Arcos

Parking on Los Arcos

Postby JohnES » Wed Mar 27, 2024 10:56 am

I have noticed recently that the local police are checking for cars parked illegally on the two way section of Los Arcos in Quesada.
You might think it is OK and you just want to pop in to a shop for something. They have been turning up in a morning in recent times so just be aware that you are taking a risk.

About time, some days it is hard to get through with cars parked both sides.

Yes, that stretch is dangerous because of the parking especially in the morning. If you drive down Calle Doctor Quiles Mora (down from the Norwegian School) to the bottom and then try to turn left into Calle Los Arcos (or right for that matter), it's a lottery. All the No Parking zones are occupied, both sides, and Los Arcos has become a single lane road.

They've recently put a mirror at that junction, which helps, but the fact remains it's a dangerous junction and stretch of road, and doesn't need to be.
