Health and Safety? Does that exist in Spain?

Very similar then to the way that Jeremy was similarly robbed at the last General Election by the same conspiracy
- and the way that the BBC ganged up with them - Shocking.

But surely, the BBC can’t have ganged up on both Jezza AND, the Tories.

Perhaps they're behaving like independent investigative journalists after all?

- you are quite right Glassfull, it really was all fair and above-board (on the same basis as all UK elections are, naturally)

- I do not think that there was a newspaper army/militia or that anyone ganged up or conspired against the EU
- in the EU Referendum several newspapers The Telegraph, The Mail & The Express took one editorial line - The Guardian, The Independent etc took the other
- the BBC was naturally fair, independent, unbiased & neutral - you really think so?
- Like most I had expected a "stay" vote (expecting a narrow three to five per cent "stay" margin).

Referendum night was entertaining to watch on the BBC - as the results came through & the horror surfaced - you could almost pick up the thoughts -
- "Oh God, didn't that mass of idiots out there understand our guidance & what we were telling them - were our comments & jokes above their intellectual capacity to understand properly?"
- the Channel 4 "party night" was even better entertainment _ sack cloth, ashes, spitting anger & tears by 4 a.m. (I recorded it)

- in the case of the General Election I believe that the BBC really attempted to be neutral - although it broke certain presenters little hearts.
- You still heard the traditional chant afterwards - "We didn't really lose - it was a massive Right-wing press conspiracy - the poor voters did not see through it - if only they had truly understood, we couldn't lose"

Overall I am just very wary of some of the lines that you had set out - e.g. "EU prevented UK business from doing what it liked" - "UK Press - War of attrition" - "those with no opinion began developing warped opinions" - I am not saying that you do not believe them or you are being anything but totally honest in putting them forward.
- The similarity between some of the points made by the minority vote side in each case (Referendum & General Election) interested me.

For me, personally, a "stay" vote would have been far more convenient - I continue to believe that Referenda are often a flawed, dangerous and disruptive process.
