It’s possible that a power spike has killed your Sky box.
But you should try a few things first...

Try unplugging the power lead from the back of the box, waiting a minute or so, then plugging it back in. It always takes a couple of minutes for the Sky box to power-up after doing this, but there should be some lights on the front of the box as soon as you apply power.

If it’s totally dead then it’s possible that the socket that it’s plugged in to has no power, or if you’re using a power lead with a UK plug via an adaptor then the fuse in the plug could have blown.

If the power surge has killed the box then if you’re paying the Iberdrola insurance premium as part of your bill you could try claiming from them, but I doubt they you’l get very far with that.

Pete.

Sometimes it takes a few goes to get yourSky Box working again so don't give up too easily. Rain and Thunderstorms always upsets the Electricity Supply. Get some candles you might need them. Summer storms are the worst.
