I've noticed a lot of hefty increases, especially in carrefour. Some items that i used to buy have gone up as much as 75c which is mental. By the way, what is and where is smartshop out of interest?

It's not just British things that have gone up either so cant blame it all on Brexit, it's everything. Fuel prices and electric have rocketed so suppose suppliers have to raise prices.

Smart Shop is the old Jumerca Gama (still same group) in the centre of Quesada up the road from the pharmacy in the centre of town.

I sometimes wonder if they all start jumping on the band wagon. One small bar, by small I mean a little counter with a few cakes and two tables outside that sits 8. They were charging 1 euro for a Fanta back in Sept now it's 1.75, they cost 55c in supermarkets and I feel that's too much of a markup. My hairdresser is also very expensive now, 3 months ago highlights, wash and cut 60 Tuesday 80.

Chris my hairdresser tells me all their products have had very steep increases and it is diffult to get some products. Everything has gone up in price due to one reason or another.

Of course they all jump on the bandwagon, someone has to pay for the losses they incurred through Covid, so they’ll dip into their customers pockets to do that.
If you think they are taking the mick, vote with your feet.

If I did that I wouldn't be going anywhere or doing anything

I was surprised to see the bog standard Cava is now 2.05 in Consum but shocked to see the 1/2 bottle has risen from 1.59 to 1.99 so I will only be buying full size bottles now and if I waste a few glasses so be it.

Shocking price hike for a daily staple item. Why you will just have to show them and drink beer instead :) :)
