Did someone say that Iceland Overseas and Tesco were owned by the same man? That being the case, you’d expect the prices to be the same.
I was shopping yesterday in (NI) and laughed when I saw the ridiculous prices that some shops were charging for Heinz beans. Newspaper reports that Asda’s own brand beans are delicious and cost 50 pence. We don’t actually have an Asda here but I will check that out one day soon.
All being well, we’ll be in Spain at the end of the month .looking forward to it.

If I remember correctly, some months ago,Tesco and Heinz were having a dispute over the cost of the latter's products with threats of a refusal to stock them. All i know is that Heinz stuff is at a price I just walk past and leave it on the shelf.I am a Yorkshireman and I have standards and expectations.

Price increases have gone berserk, the sacks of dog biscuits I buy monthly went from 12+ euros to 14+ euros, went to the supermarket this morning they are now 24+ euros. 10 euro increase in a month, exactly who is profiteering?

Russian dog biscuits that have been stuck in Dover for 3 months, awaiting paperwork, I'm sure some would have you believe....as opposed to - as you point out - pure profiteering.

Didn't think any country was trading with Russia?

All these price increases all put down to a war and inflation, when the war is over and inflation returns to normal will the prices start to tumble down? I have lived through inflation in the past and can’t recall prices coming noticeably down. Is this it? I

You've hit the nail on the head.

Pure profiteering, allowing the blame to be put on the "easy options".
