Regulation only applies to certain types of bottles.

"This particular hike only applies to the traditional 12.5kg butane cylinder, which weighs more than nine kilograms empty, according to the OCU. Those with a tare weight of less than nine kilos or without a load of between eight and 20 kilos, which account for 22% of the market, have had a deregulated price for years so tend to cost more than this regulated price."

Just seen this on FB from Harmony FM: The cost of butane gas canisters has increased by 4.95% from today.
This equates to 63 cents and takes the maximum permitted sales price up to 13.37 euros of the 12.5kg canister.
The increase is marginally below the maximum permitted within the new bi-monthly price review system, and is said to be due to the increased cost of raw materials.

I just don't get all the different prices, confusing

https://bombonabutano.com/precio
This shows the latest official price list for Repsol gas bottles. The older heavy gas bottles are cheaper than the lighter blue top bottles and they also contain more gas. The prices are those you should pay from the Repsol garages and the Repsol delivery lorry. You will pay more from other suppliers.

Thank you Chrisdee. I think the prices went up on January 18th, and they are revised every 2 months.
