Postby Patriciaann » Sat Dec 07, 2019 2:04 pm

Hi All
We are think of renting out our 2 beds detached
Villa .
Before we begin this process, we need to find out
the pros and cons
We are looking at long term rental ,as we think that would us better
So we are looking for good property management companies
to manage the property for us .
If anyone has had any dealings with these companies
,good or bad , we would be very grateful to hear your
views

Kind regards

You don't need a tourist licence for long term rentals, only short term holiday lets.

I use Alicante Holiday Lets, down at Lo Marabu...near Lizarran. Rented my property with them for four years. Francisco and his team are very helpful. Highly recommend.

I have searched various sites and failed to find a definition of long term / short term.
I thought long term was more than one month but cannot confirm.
Have you or anyone else got any official information and definition?
Thank you

I believe long term is over 3 months but can't be sure as I only do short term lets so have a tourist rental licence. Maybe someone else on here can clarify.

Have a read here https://themajor-domo.com/whats-the-bet ... rm-rental/

if you really want to specify a period of rental and not require a licence then you should consider a Seasonal Rental Contract which can be any specified period weeks, months or years where you define the exact dates of the stay but you must get the contracts drawn up by a lawyer
