Quesada High Street

Yes, it will be a bit of a nuisance for a while. But the pavements are a nightmare for the disabled and elderly RIGHT NOW... We will have to put up with the refurbishments but I have always found Rojales Council pretty good at providing for the elderly and for wheelchairs so I have no doubt they will be mindful of this...so let´s not cry before we are hurt ...

.. let´s look on the bright side.. think how easy and safe it will be for the dodgy of foot afterwards

It is going to happen and it will only be for about 10 fortnights..

Great news - we avoid Quesada because of the awful pavements and dangerous parking...so although it will be tough for a few months, the advantages will be huge for everyone. No pain, no gain!

Sounds like fantastic news, it is good to see soo much money being invested in the area at the moment, despite short term inconvenience this can only be a positive for everyone in the longer term. :D

I agree. I’ve looked, with envy, at the improvements to the infrastructure in Benijofar and often wondered, “When will Rojales Town Hall would do the same?”.

Well, now we’re seeing some investment so, let’s ‘suck up’ the minor, short term, inconveniences and look forward.

Where is this "High Street"? No wonder Spanish people get annoyed.

I guess that would be Avenida de las Naciones to anyone who did not know ;) I think they are going to change the name for the Brits!

Really looking forward to the new improvements. Quesada has really upped its game over the last few years......Quesada Boulevard and the new shopping centre are so fresh and crisp, the new Lidl is a delight and we're blessed with lots of lovely restaurants. Too many estate agents though.....I was really hoping the new one in the fab building near the steakhouse woud be a courtyard restaurant.....there's lots of space outside for seating!! Not to worry, the pedestrian friendly wider footpaths will be great for all of us :). Very proud to live here!

Locals often give nicknames to locations.

How often have we seen Torrevieja abbreviated to Torre?

New York, The Big Apple.
Birmingham, Brum
Chichester, Chi
City of London, the square mile
London’s theatre and shopping district, the west End

So I suppose, ‘the High Street’ works
