Usually events like this will be deemed as abnormal, in which case claims will be met by the Consorcio.

I think it's when the Government say it's a natural disaster, bit like a very bad earthquake, I wouldn't have thought this would be classed similar to that

Few off us that use that run then. LBA>Alicante. We should start an airport car share scheme

Ok, folks. What about "things to do"? as someone in an earlier post asked. Ideas please? In addition to Quesada Bowling, there's bowling in Torrevieja, too. Also a cinema there you could look up on line the opening hours and films being shown. There are lots of lovely Spanish restaurants where you can relax over a leisurely meal. Maybe others have more suggestions ...?

The Consorcio is a fund built up by adding a surcharge to all insurance premiums, you will see it on your policy. I was caught in a similar "act of God" situation, again localised violent weather and repairs for both my vehicle and property were paid for out of the Consorcio.

We flew back to Leeds/Bradford a week last Friday to complete on house sale (which has fallen through) only consolation is the weather. Car hire is ridiculously expensive!
