Red days

Red days

Postby Ellie » Tue Oct 04, 2022 8:41 am

I know there will be a list of 2022 days on the forum but I can’t find it! Are there red days coming up this weekend?

Oct 9, Oct 12 , Nov 1, Dec 6, Dec 8 and Dec 25

Are the red days for the rest of the year.
Both Guardamar & Rojales have a local holiday on Friday and some other local areas have blue days next week.

Dec 7 is often taken as a bridge day

For information purposes if required

Zenia Boulevard only close on Oct 9 and Dec 25 , they are open for the rest of the year

Thank you! So supermarkets should be open as normal over the weekend?

Most supermarkets don't open Sundays anyway.
Doesn't affect Saturday.

Note that Wednesday 12th October is Spanish National Day and Consum will be closed as well as Friday 7th. Open Saturday, though.

Mercadona closed Friday and Wednesday as well but open on Saturday (but, of course, closed on Sunday as usual).

Habaneras and Zenia Boulevard both closed Sunday 9th October.

Several, Torrevieja Consum for example, will be closed Monday 10th October.

Just go into the supermarket website (for example, Consum.es or Lidl.es and so on), stick in your postcode and it will tell you what days they are open.

Do national Red Days affect Public Transport at all?
I have family travelling to Madrid next Wednesday from Alicante by train.

Many thanks
