Refuse collection

Refuse collection

Postby Calledali » Sun Apr 07, 2024 7:28 pm

Arrived here on Friday to find a pool filter tank including sand and a builders bag full of rubble dumped beside the bin outside our property. Bin men came this morning, emptied the bin but left the offending objects behind. I don’t blame them for this as it would appear to be commercial waste. In fact I saw a upvc door & frame being dumped by a bin this morning by 2 suspicious characters.
The point I make is that I pay my council taxes and expect to be able to enjoy a clean environment when we are here. So Rojales council, get your act together and either clean up the rubbish or do a better job of policing the area to stop this Fly Tipping.

Hi,
You may or may not know this but there is an app you can use called Gecor where by you can request such things as rubbish collection from the relevant dept at the town hall.
Im also a non resident but a couple of times I've used the app to report outstanding issues along my road and I've found the service pretty good. Others on here may share their view too.

Why are the BINS FULL . It's because everyone is cleaning there gardens and filling the bins with there garden rubbish ... It's free if you take it to the dump . Then there's the uncrushed box from your new appliances. Just stand on it until it's flat.....

I love using the dump over here, they seem pleased to see you, as I don't think they get many visitors, unless I've just been lucky.
So helpful too.
Our tip, back home, won't even let me in with my camper van, and the queue to get in is around the block.
