Rojales Bridge Works

does anybody know exactly what is happening to the bridge and approach roads in Rojales
There’s much confusion as to the end result and by the lack of road signs to reroute traffic
Checked on the Rojales web site and Facebook page and there’s little information
Anybody seen the final plans or an artists impression ?

Martin the Artist posted about this last week. I'm sure he said the works will last four months & primarily it involves repairs to the old bridge & waterwheel.

Yea, that’s all I got from messaging the ayuntamiento but I’m looking for plans of the intended works, ie, will traffic be allowed over the bridge when complete
Four months is a long time so it would be good to now what the scope of works is

It is intended that traffic will be able to use the bridge again when everything is finished.
The work is very extensive - e.g. repairing the dam will be difficult & when they were doing the preparatory investigations they discovered the remains of the old wooden bridge on which it was founded.
Presently they are moving the large trees to various parks around the town due to the 'heave' they have produced in the road surface.
They hope of course the work will be shorter and that they can open some of the roads in the interim, but it is probably safer to assume all the roads marked on the plan as closed, or reversed directions, etc. will remain that way for 4 months.

It’s lovely to see that the bridge will be repaired and it would be nice as a pedestrian bridge but obviously not practical

4 wheeler reqd!!

Some will have realised that the work has stagnated.
This is because of unforeseen overhead costs that the builders are unwilling/unable to absorb.
The town hall are understandably annoyed and are seeking compromises to ensure the work is finished n good time for the Moors & Christians fiesta.
It looks like they were to finish the road surface etc with granite blocks, but they may have to revert to other surfacing.

I received a message from the town hall last week saying the bridge will be open soon
Why does the town hall tell me one thing and others something else ?
Puzzled.com!!!
