Deep joy. We are booked to fly back to the UK from Alicante to Leeds/Bradford on the 24th for 10 days for a wedding.

No surprise the way Ryanair treat their staff.

Just as a matter of interest, how do Ryanair treat their staff? I’ve flown with them on occasion and the staff all seemed in reasonable form. I’ve no idea and would love to know. I presumed they were striking because of low pay but it could be something else. Did you read something in the papers? My daughter in law used to fly with BA and she has made comment about feeling undervalued when employed by them.
If the Spanish crew go on strike here then I doubt if any flights will go or come. I sincerely hope they can continue for the sake of the people who have booked.

Is this the usual bash RyanAir comment or do you actually have any knowledge of how they are treated. I have known someone who has worked for them for over 10 years and they are happy enough with them.

Strange that in recent weeks it’s been all EasyJet, TUI & BA cancelling flights every day. Ryanair at the moment seem to be the only ones who can fulfil their flight schedules.
It also appears that TUI have adopted the Jet2 policy and they are now using planes to go to two destinations, thereby increasing flight times by a couple hours. Jet 2 are also having refuelling stops at totally random airports
OK with the Ryanair Spanish strike it will also affect some flights. But the vast majority of flights from airlines coming from the U.K. are turnaround flights with U.K. crew.

What with this and all the passport hassle, it’s not an ideal time to be travelling.

Just read an article in The Guardian that theRyanair strike is two 3 day strikes. 24 June to 26 June and 30 June to July 2. Not 24 June to 2 July

Yes that's what the RTE article said.

The staff will walk out on June 24, 25, 26 and 30 and on July 1 and 2, as they are unhappy with working conditions and pay, USO union said. Unfortunately these are all week-end dates when the bulk of people are travelling

Ryanair has also said they don't expect too much disruption as the USO doesn't represent all staff.
