S1 form

We are pensioners & we live here permanently.We have our resedencia but dont have s1 form.Must of had something when we came as we get free nhs.Where do we get it from please if we visit the UK?

Applying for S1

You phone the number on that site and make sure you have your NI numbers handy.
They will send you the completed S1 forms to hand in to apply to transfer your healthcare from UK to here.

Also make sure you take copies of the completed S1 forms as they take them off you and don't give them back.

What does an S1 form look like please

Thats right it was called e121 & thats what we had but i dont know who we gave it to when we came here 11years ago.

If you're already receiving free health care then unless somebody is demanding you produce S1's then what makes you think you need them now?

We had a letter today stating after the 31 October if you need nhs health care visiting the UK you need to produce s1 form.

Yes, everyone's had that letter. However, the S1 replaced the E121 so it is the same thing.
Going back to UK you will not need to show the S1 (after all, most people haven't seen it after they handed it in) but a quick call to the health centre at Newcastle will confirm you have cover.

Just make sure you have your NI number handy if you need to visit a doctor in UK to make the process a bit easier.
I very much doubt if any GP surgery would even check if you simply went as a temporary visitor as a pensioner.
May do at hospitals, though, and they should have Newcastle on speed dial (the surgery I worked at over 12 years ago certainly did).
