We are in the same position.

Money left UK last Tuesday but has not appeared in our Sabadell account. Their telephone support staff know nothing about any problems - the Benijofar branch was aware but unable to do anything about it locally. They said they had a number of customers with the same problem and they could 'see' our money in one of their systems last Thursday but not move it into our account.

Back to the branch tomorrow morning I expect...

I also use Transferwise Money reaches Sabadell within appx 3-4 Hours, I transfer Monthly and that saves Sabadell charges, you need to deposit e700.00 per Month to avoid charges.

We both also use Sabadell at Benijofar, makes you wonder if the problem is commom to that branch.

Interesting. That happened to us when we were sending money over to pay one of the instalments for our new build way back in 2004..found out, through colleagues as I worked in a Bank in Jersey, that the money was sent via a transit Bank in Amsterdam of all places, who held onto the money for a couple of days before sending it on!!!!.....nearly lost our deposit on our house and caused a great deal of worry. Now usually send via International Payment which is quicker than SEPA, usually arrives on the day if you ring before midday or the day after. We have stopped paying fees with Sabadell as if you pay in 700 euros a month I believe that negates the main charges. I think it is called an Expansion account and you even get a couple euros back on your main bills, electricity, water etc. Hope this helps.

Sabadell is a shocking bank for service. On entry you take a ticket (a la delicatessen),there are usually 6-10 people waiting for service, I just couldn’t put up with it and changed banks. The other thing that peeved me was all correspondence was in Spanish, unlike our other Spanish bank. Unlike other banks Saberdell are only interested in increasing their customer base, Customer service is a very low priority.

I take it it's not only me & my mate that's having problems with Sabadell bank transfers this week. Regular transfers done tuesday & money left U K accounts, it's now saturday afternoon & no euros in Spanish accounts. The only answers you get from the branch are there is a problem with computers. What did they blame before computerisation? For 120 euro a year charges the service is diabolical. Looking for a cheaper bank, anyone know any, bearing in mind we don't transfer enough to qualify for free banking.Who would pay if not sufficient money in account to pad D Debits because oftheir incompitance?

I transferred money from my UK bank account, via TransferWise, on 12 July and it arrived into my Sabadell account the same day. My Sabadell branch is in Almoradi - offering this info in case, as has been suggested by another post, the problem may be something to do with a particular Sabadell branch.

I have been with Sabadell for many years and all my correspondence has always been in English which was stipulated when I opened the account (it was CAM then ) and have always had first class service with them

Things must have changed a lot since you were with them.

We have been with Sabadell for years and all correspondence is in English for us. They are very helpful & friendly at the branch in Quesada - Most banks have a queue at times and Sabadell has a good system whereby you don't sit there looking at others to see who is first and who may be pushing in, unlike a couple of other banks we have used. It does depend on time of day of course as to whether it's busy or not as do other banks.

We have found their customer service good. They have even answered emails & helped us on Twitter from the UK and the online banking system is as good if not better than our UK banks. Also after every ATM transaction there is a text sent to your phone so security is good too.

No complaints on our part.

Definitely no complaints from us in respect of Sabadell. We receive transfers into our account from World First and two from the Pension Service always on the due date.
