SCART TO HDMI

SCART TO HDMI

Postby LA MARINA LADY » Thu Dec 22, 2016 8:35 am

Has anyone had a problem with scart to hdmi, I have a fairly new DVD player with three colour jacks to the player and a scart to the TV end, however my new Samsung 48'' TV which doesn't have a scart input. Millar and Media Mart have said there is no such converter available, just wondered if anyone else has experienced this problem and managed to solve it.

Be aware that although there are some connectors that claim to do it . . . Most can't and video quality can suffer and sound can be missing . . It is far better to buy a DVD player with hdmi output for 25 - 35€ which will give hd quality and actually upscale non hd dvds to near hd output . .

Well I bought a SCART to HDMI lead, back in the UK. Are you sure you haven't got a SCART socket on the DVD Player, as well as the 3-colour leads? You might try a SCART 'Switch' box - which would be the same thing if it had a HDMI output lead.

Have you got the 3 colour leads (RCA) on your TV as well? You can get RCA leads quite easily. Mine comes up on the telly as composite connection.
