Hi everyone. We’re looking to upgrade our security. Does anyone have any experience of this company, Securitas Direct?

We were broken into at the end of February. Securitas Direct didn’t call the police, we did when we got home. Securitas said they had no photos of the intruders as no photos had been taken. Since then we have been asking them for an explanation as to why their service was so bad and they don’t reply. My husband stopped one of the young lads in the street, who look for business roaming round in a car. He phoned the office for us, they told him they would call us and arrange to come and see us, that was over a week ago and we have not heard anything from them. So far they have failed us miserably.

Contact them on messenger through facebook, I've used that a few times and asked them to call me back and they have. Thats not good when they did not call the police!

I recommend Sector Alarm. It is a large and serious Norwegian company that has its markets in Norway and Spain. Their security center is very modern and in brilliant readiness. I use them both here in Spain (Quesada) and in Norway. Recommended! Chris Voss

Securitas Direct regularly tour the streets knocking on doors and telling people you must have an alarm which is connected to the police. (This is not true). An elderly lady friend of ours, who had just had an alarm system installed by another company, was told her alarm was not good enough, not connected to the police and she paid a significant some of money to have a Securitas alarm installed.
Try http://www.besurealarms.com You can have a reasonable alarm system installed for as little as 300 euros. Well lit grounds, (20 watt LED lights from chinese connected to time switch) plus CCTV signs and such like stickers, all discourage would be burglars.
