Hi everyone. We’re looking to upgrade our security. Does anyone have any experience of this company, Securitas Direct?

We have them, think it's around 40'ish 45 euros per month, not sure of the initial outlay, we've had ours 21 years and they did renew it a couple of years ago as the original was out of date and they couldn't get spare parts. Negotiate with them! I called them the other month and they lowered my monthly payments not a lot by about 5 euros I think. When we originally had it installed we were not linked up to Madrid (they call the police if the alarm goes off if there's no response from the house when they call to check) but when the new one was fitted you have to be linked up (more expensive!). It gives us peace of mind. We use it when we are asleep too, as you can alarm the downstairs only, you decide what rooms you want to activate when they fit it.

They can be slow if you want them to come out and do something but I found them helpful on the phone when I've needed assistance

They were doing the rounds, cold calling, the other day, rattling off all the Communities that have recently been burgled. I’ve never been a fan of the promotion of a product through fear

Totally do not agree. We set our alarm off by accident a couple of times when we first got it installed and they were more than helpful. Maria our sales representative even gave us her mobile number if we had any problems. The greatest feature is if you don’t speak Spanish the emergency services have all your details, even should you need to use the SOS button while shopping, on the beach, wherever, they are able to locate you.

How can you use the SOS button when away from home?

Can someone give me a number that we can contact Securitas on please. The numbers we have don’t work, one cuts off when we tell them our problem, not good. Thanks.
