Simplest check for you, web search for transferwise.com, open the home page for this, select the currency to convert to, in this case euro to £, it will show the actual live rate on its home page, a rate as it is globally right at that time. they do not use underinflated rates like a bank may do, to hide their high fees. no logging in or membership needed. Give it a try.

then, ask your bank ''on the same day'' as you check transferwise, how much you will end up with in your uk account after the transaction is done by the bank.

then simply compare how much you get, and go for the better deal. very simple.
