SIP card coverage

Hypothetical scenario.
I’m a resident of Spain with a U K passport. So I decide to go to IKEA in Murcia and unfortunately slip and hurt myself. I’m taken to the hospital in Murcia. How does my Valencian SIP card cover my treatment? Do I need travel insurance to go into different regions?

The answer is No...your sip card covers all of Spain.

Just so you know for future reference, we have used the SIP card in Majorca

Only applies to public hospitals of course, if private you're on your own.
