The real "incident" was Brixton last night , 20 + police officers injured ,

You could say the same thing about the entire thread but since when was it mandatory for every post or topic to be directly Quesada related?

Be a poor old forum if discussion began and ended at The Arches!

Cannot believe that all these people would want to be so close to each other. They must be nuts! Can I just say though that I believe most people in the UK, like me, have abided by the rules. I’m fortunate to live in a semi rural village so apart from walking my dog through lovely countryside, I really didn’t go out for 11 weeks. I was fortunate to get all my groceries etc delivered by Ocado so didn’t even need to go to supermarket. Now the lockdown is easing I have made a “bubble “ with my son who lives alone and have seen him twice. I’m saying all this because I don’t want you to be scared if you see me when I arrive in Rojales next week !!

Quesada seems to have escaped the worst of the pandemic so far. With large numbers about to arrive in July & August it's got to seriously increase the risk to locals even with the airport checks. We know the virus can be asystematic so nobody knows who actually has it already. Keep your distance.

Same here Toodiq, we’re from the Lake District, and haven't been near any beaches or riots. But we feel we might be tarred and feathered when we come over next week as well. I’m trying to find something positive to read but it’s hard.

Hold on a minute. Last week the lake district were telling people NOT to travel to the lake district because the people there don't want others to bring the virus.

Now people from the lake district think it's ok to travel to the airport and further afield......I think (rather tongue in cheek) that you are more likely to get tarred and feathered when you get to the airport.

You can't have it both ways.

Must say, that living in a country with a still high infection rate I would rather not travel , I myself may be careful but looking at the numbers not following social distancing , I think I would wait to travel.

If you read the papers correctly Sage. We didn’t want people coming to the Lake District because they were leaving their rubbish all over, bad parking, it had nothing to do with COVID-19. It was more to do with their uncouth behaviour ie, using people’s gardens as a human toilet, leaving rubbish in the fields and on the mountains for the wildlife to eat. I repeat nothing to do with COVID-19.
We are only coming to check on our property, and then coming home. We will be wearing our masks and hand gel and antiseptic wipes at the ready, We are lucky enough to have been tested clear of COVID and want to stay that way. Before you tell me not to come over, we have issues with our apartment and need to come over.I rest my case.

What I find strange is the huge number of young children on the beaches with their parents who are probably the same ones that say “it’s not safe for them to go back to school because they won’t be able to social distance”.

Sadly there are idiots in every country but we do seem to have a lot more foolhardy & reckless people than you would expect. I suspect it’s because they know they will get away with it and that is “the root cause” of the problem in the U.K.
