Solar Power payment for surplus power

Solar Power payment for surplus power

I was dismayed to find that on the last bill Iberdrola have paid only half a cent per KWH.
Of course this has hardly made any reduction to the amount charged for power used when the solar panels are not producing.

Try Octopus Energy (octopusenergy.es). We also had a bad deal from Iberdrola and changed to Octopus Energy after someone recommended them on this forum.

We got a great deal, and we are "banking" energy with Octopus so that (so far) we pay nothing at all for our electric bills.

Take a look at their website, I think you will not be disappointed.

Get away from Iberdrola as fast as you can!!! Go with anybody but them! Solar is a threat to them, so they will do you no favours! I have planitude, and I get 0.15 Cent a KW!! look around anybody will pay more than them!!!

We had the same.
We've ditched Iberdrola now and gone with our solar company who've got us a better deal . We now have a virtuale battery so can use the excess power that we produce at a later time

Agreed. A battery is a must. It is a brilliant investment.

I don't have Solar but left Iberdrola a long time ago. Even that was not an easy process as their communication, or lack of it, can be very frustrating!

I presume you mean 15 c/kWh? 0.15 c/kWh is diabolical. Its probably on your bill as 0.15 €/kWh.

A virtual battery is a brilliant idea, all the advantages of a real battery without the installation & maintenance costs.
So you are getting a payback of the full cost of the electricity rather than a few cents per Kwh.
