Glad you spotted that - it may be safer to be a thousand miles from Bolton?
Joking - but I have looked hard at the chance of being infected or being a carrier if you have been two dose vaccinated.
(Never travel on a plane if you are worried about those odds)

Bolton today, ******** tomorrow !!!
Taken from today's Daily Mirror
"Boris Johnson has warned of "hard choices" as cases of the Indian Covid variant soar - with June's easing of lockdown laws now at risk of delay.
The Prime Minister said that evidence shows the mutant strain is more transmissible, raising fears it can cause "serious disruption" to his roadmap.
Addressing the nation in a televised address from Downing Street, he said: "If the variant is significantly more transmissible we'll have to face some hard choices."
The PM said there is "no evidence" that the Indian variation can evade vaccines - and assured the public that plans to ease restrictions will proceed on Monday.
But his hope that all restrictions can be lifted on June 21 could be dashed by the new variant, Mr Johnson said.
He continued: "I do not believe that we need, on the present evidence, to delay our road map and we will proceed with our plan to move to step three in England from Monday.
"But I have to level with you that this new variant could pose a serious disruption to our progress and could make it more difficult to move to step four in June."

From 17th May x
You are aware that Spain has banned all non essential travel from UK until 31st May I hope?
If you aren't a citizen or resident (with proof) or have one of the essential reasons (which have been posted several times) then you could be turned back at either the UK airport or at the Spanish border when you arrive.
This has happened to quite a few people so do you really want to take the chance?

With ALL due respect to the Daily Mirror
https://www.jhsph.edu/covid-19/articles/new-data-on-covid-19-transmission-by-vaccinated-individuals.html
Can we say with any degree of certainty that vaccinated people are unlikely to spread COVID to non vaccinated individuals?
The emerging data confirms what many of us thought would be the case—that not only do the vaccines stop symptomatic COVID, but they also make it highly unlikely that someone can even be infected at all.I think the preponderance of the evidence supports the fact that vaccinated individuals are not able to spread the virus.
Lots more John Hopkins research is available online.
Please remember that the conversation stemmed from discussion of the risk that Brit visitors and the vaccinated present to Spain and Brit residents - it does not cover the risk of anyone (who may not be vaccinated) from anywhere otherwise.

Still no news from Spain or EU about when they might allow us to travel and this new Indian variant will probably scupper it. However, the NHS app which will allow us to show proof of vaccinations was updated overnight and now has a proper reference with individual QR code so hopefully when we are allowed to travel that will suffice? Really anxious to get to our holiday home if only to make it more secure etc. We hadn't planned to be away from it this long!

Ministers sow confusion over holiday travel as attention turns to border failures.
Good morning. The Government has had over a year to get its pandemic messaging right, yet yesterday was a masterclass in how not to handle public communications.
Before the hackles of the bozo groupies rise even higher than usual, let me say the above is today's headline and introduction by the Torygraph, Front Bench editor Daniel Cappuro. Its unusual for the tory rag to severely criticise this useless govt in such scathing terms.
The article suggests that bozo never learns from his previous pig's ears and has done it yet again by not acting decisively over the Indian variant B.1.617. India should have been placed on the Red list weeks ago and either the 110 flights stopped or restricted and the the testing & quarantine rules applied strictly. Instead he bumbled and prevaricated as usual and a stream of the usual suspects have been paraded in front of the media to lie embarrassingly about why sensible precautions were not taken at the appropriate time. The one this morning on GMB was obviously reading from a prepared script, I was expecting to hear her say 'it says here' any minute. Even the Daily Wail's front page lead takes a side swipe at the mixed message excuses and lies coming from ministers.
For me the message is clear we are suffering because of the ineptitude of this sleazy govt and if the wool is not pulled too far over their eyes, hopefully even the groupies should be getting the message soon. I know my mates are.

Bozo delayed to bring home a trade deal with India.
He was concerned that the deal would be jeopardised.
Neighbouring Asian countries with a better covid19 report were put on the red list some 3 weeks prior.
