It's about time something was done. Even the 48hr eviction law is way too lax. If you don't own the property, then you don't get to squat in it, full stop. I also don't buy this 'oh properties are too expensive' BS either. There are plenty of affordable do it uppers in various locations for 30/40/50 grand but what do they do, choose the big detached villa. So they can't afford the rent either yet there's no problem in pushing out kids though is there! The whole situation is a disgrace and i sympathise with the other owners that have to put up with them. A threat to kill in the UK is a criminal offence, why not in Spain?
