Mine regularly misses a Monday if there is a holiday in the States.

Private pension companies will accept scanned copies and sent as an attachment via email or on the pension companies online app.

If you're on weekly payments then you cannot directly compare to those on monthly.

Whatever the frequency everyone gets 52 weeks worth of payments per annum so it would seem a tad juvenile to be excited about getting 5 payments in any month!

Why anyone would choose weekly I can't imagine but I guess there must be a reason.

My NI number ends in 29 yet i have always been paid on a Monday.

For those who may not know the day your pension is due depends on the final 2 digits of your NI number.

00 to 19 Monday
20 to 39 Tuesday
40 to 59 Wednesday
60 to 79 Thursday
80 to 99 Friday

Delays can be because of US Federal holidays which for 2024 are as below, you'll notice that Jan 15th was one which is why SOME payments MAY have arrived early.
Monday, January 01New Year’s Day
Monday, January 15Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Monday, February 19 *Washington’s Birthday
Monday, May 27Memorial Day
Wednesday, June 19Juneteenth National Independence Day
Thursday, July 04Independence Day
Monday, September 02Labor Day
Monday, October 14Columbus Day
Monday, November 11Veterans Day
Thursday, November 28Thanksgiving Day
Wednesday, December 25Christmas Day

Now that really is a stupid comment the world's largest economy going bust if it does then we're all screwed.

How is it a stupid question?

It was a question borne out of genuine concern, and one asked in the hope it may spur some people to make precautions.

The question is not if the US tanks, the question is when.

Seeing as the US national debt is 35 trillion and rising, it seems prudent to start thinking about these things.

Civil war is also a real probability.

Not a tad juvenile, just a statement of fact. I’m paid every week, sometimes it occurs (4times a year) that 5 weeks occur in a single calendar month, hence 5 payments in March. Also, for those paid on a fixed monthly date, (every 4 weeks) once a year 2 payments are made in the same month (also March this year for us). so don’t try and take the pleasure we pensioners might get out of this extra payment however psychological it may be.

I fail to see how this an ‘extra’ payment, it’s simply a four weekly cycle!
