It's all very confusing isn t it. Some of the rules don't make sense. How come Tabacos shops can still open. Not exactly emergency produce but then I don't smoke.

Chrisdee you are doing a fantastic job wish there were more people like you around. You are obviously taking precautions so as not to contaminate any shopping and I expect you are advising those you help to wash the products you bought for them. Please take no notice of the doom and gloomers if it were not for you then these elderly people would likely clog up the doctors and hospitals with their worries, which in turn would mean someone who vitally needs that doctor would not be able to get thro ...Thank you for doing what you do.

I have never smoked and detest the smell, but my husband does and I completely understand why they are open. It's common sense. We are all under an incredible amount of stress, do you really want to add to that stress? Smoking is a habit which is very difficult to break. Please, let's not start an anti smoking debate when we have enough to cope with.

Chill, Lavender, nobody's starting an anti-smoking debate ( one has to laugh... Karen Jones just plainly knows no smokers... )

one thing I cant understand, why do people need help to quit smoking?, you just quit don't you
in uk, NHS wastes money on tv adverts encouraging people to quit, can they not make there own minds up,knowing that smoking damages your health,,and save the taxpayer money, I would have thought the denial of nhs treatment would be sufficient for treatment of smoking related illnesses,i,ve known people who quit over night,

And as soon as you've posted that up pops someone to prove you wrong.
Tell me, why are the supermarkets still allowed to sell alcohol? It's not essential and, as I don't drink alcohol anymore, why are they still flogging it?
Alcohol related illnesses and crime figures now cost the NHS and police more than smoking does and the smoker at least pays more in tax to the exchequer.
Now can we get back to the things that really matter?

Good morning Glassman,
You are asking why someone would leave their home to walk over to an empty apartment. Probably no reason other than the lady more than likely lives alone and cannot bear the isolation anymore. If she doesn’t stop to speak with someone then she should be safe enough. Perhaps her son has wifi in his apartment and she may not or perhaps there is no reason other than she misses her son and feels closer to him by being close to his possessions. Have some compassion. Did you speak to her as she walked past? Loneliness is also a killer. This woman is finding it difficult putting in 24 hours everyday on her own or worse still, perhaps she is getting away from her husband if she has one. There doesn’t have to be an obvious reason. Yes, she should not be out and doesn’t have the excuse of walking her dog but she clearly wants to get out of her confined space. Speak to the woman. ... nicely!

Well I drink and I smoke and both are essential, particularly at the moment to stay sane. Being on lockdown when you're on your own is pretty lonesome - I've even started talking to myself
